The Air Force focus is delivering Global Vigilance, Global Reach and Global Power to defend and protect the United States and its global interests. In order to obtain these goals, it is imperative that current initiatives are continually focusing on integrating future capabilities through enterprise resource planning. With constrained resources, this creates opportunities for the various services to work together in finding cost effective solutions. The Air Force looks to its continuing partnership with the other sister services, industry and academia to ensure its capabilities and skills remain on the pinnacle of technology and expertise. AFITC showcases how current and future IT hardware, software and services are used to aid the national defense and intelligence communities. |
The mission of the 2012 Air Force Information Technology Conference is to facilitate conversations, interactions and activities which may lead to a more streamlined process across the DoD enterprise to provide more integrated and advanced capabilities to our war fighter.

Scheduled to be held August 27-29, this national IT conference will bring together more than 5,000 active, duty, guard, reserve, civilian and industry partners. It is one of the primary tools for keeping Air Force IT users, developers and mangers current on progressive best practices – helping keep the United States Air Force in the forefront as the most advanced fighting air force in history.

AFITC offers a world-class agenda, full of outstanding government and industry keynote speakers. There are also more than 100 in-depth technical seminars being conducted and an exhibit hall consisting of more than 200 IT vendors, DoD agencies and academic institutions present. AFITC's ability to bring together the best of the best enables this conference to serve as a premiere conference for government and industry to discuss technical needs and capabilities for future synergies.

Since 1983, AFITC has always been held in historic Montgomery, Alabama. The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Spa at the Convention Center has hosted the event since 2008. This facility is embedded in the wonderful ambiance of the revitalized downtown area. As you will see, AFITC is much more than just a conference, it is an IT experience filled with history and vision.
